The one, appearantly closest to the hotel was making the U-turn unless the crash subsided and turned in a 1:5 chance to face the way it did from the other traffic island.

The driver that was taken away by parameds(EMS) was in slight shock and was a senior. To avoid any further critical symptoms, I believe that he was taken away to have his heart rate calmed down. Perhaps he was experiencing palpitation. (as the heart gets faster and gains more activity, it can't handle the pressure and gives various chest and body pains, usually cause by high blood pressure and stress.)

After that, there was a minor/major incident within the DT, and it was answered fairly quickly for it was only 20 steps away from the traffic accident.

The fire dept. answered first because their call station is just 5 minutes away from the DoubleTree, so they came with basic paramed equipment if needed and to sand the various chemicals that had escaped the cars by collision, just incase. While SpecOps redirected traffic around the firetruck and the accident, EMS arrived 5-8 minutes after and responded quickly to the senior.
The rest was just taken care of properly and to my knowledge, within an hour to an hour and a half, the two fenderbenders were gone and only the trace of the sand on the road was left.
