I'm here to talk to you about the Con I went to in May. First off I'm sorry this is late My co-host backed out on me -sweat drop- I was going to do a autio but I can't so i'm going to write one.
Now on to the Con-report
The Con's name is Anime North. It is located in Toronto at the Toronto Congress Center(TCC) at 650 Dixon Road and at the Doubletree International Plaza Hotel, 655 Dixon Rd witch is directly across the street from the Congress Center. Anime North raises money for the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation that is based in Toronto, ON. Our many activities for "Sick Kid's" as it affectionately known as, has raised over $80,000 in the previous years.
Now you guy most likely know that most if not all Con's go on for some sort of Charade, well Anime North give All their money to the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation witch is a Foundation that works out of Toronto and well like the name helps Sick Children.
Now that you know where it is and what its for now to go on the Activities of the Con. First I missed something I really wanted to do and that was...
...A fudging COSPLAY CONGA LINE!! Yes a Conga Line that starts at the Doubletree Hotel and gose to the TCC. I'm sorry I don't have Pictures for you sadly I was eating lunch and not the good lunch not sushi or sashimi I'm not going to say what i had because it has nothing to do with anime or anything in or about japan. Well back on course.
The biggest thing My friends and I went to was a Suzumiya Haruhi Dance off. It was pritty cool Johnny Yong Bosch was one of the Judge and played one of the characters from the Serise The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya English Dub He played Itsuki Koizumi. ok now on to pannels. now the pannels I wish they labeled them God it was Annoying I couldn't stand it! so I Went looking around with my friends watched some of the video's in the Video Room and all that; but what really caught my eye was Kite, Black Rose and most of the .hackers playing twister and they were going around in between games asking Coplayers if they wanted to play. (I will include some pictures I took at anime north in here)
Now the J-band/Japanese Guests of Honor was zizi they are a Rock-rap style. Also the Writer of VG Cats came to the Con sadly I didn't see him.
Now on to the Cosplayers.
There where a lot of Akatsuki members running around. O but I did get a picture of Kakashi's Book, yes someone was cosplaying as Kakashi's book and she wanted everyone to sign it. I think her goal was to get 300 or more people to sign her. Ok back on the course. There where others Like I said I'm going to put the pictures up with this not all but the best.
I'm sorry I didn't get to the pannels but it was hell trying to figure out what the fudge was going on in them and they weren't labeled so ya.
