What panels did you attend and really enjoy this year? What would you like to see again or more of? |

Just curious. The make up panel by our Costuming GOH was standing room only, so I think we're going to look to expand the make-up panels to include different & more advanced techniques. Unfortunately I didn't make it to any non-costuming panels myself. This is your chance to tell us what you'd like to see more of!

I enjoy the Chrono Trigger panel every year, I had to rush out of Best/Worst in Anime to catch one of my panels (but
it was great) and the Pokemon Biology panel was truely awsome >< (not even standing room). Next year is the time to resurrect the Censorship panel. I do
remember a few years back Super Heros in Rubber Suits and something like that would be great to see again. Also, someone wanted to do a panel You Call This
S&*^ Anime? or somethng like that and if it had videoclips... I would like to see some (more) totally new panels next year, or panels that did not run this
year. I can't think of anything off the top of my head, though.

I enjoyed the Iron chef workshop and the games. I will say I was very happy to see the Black kids like anime too panel a huge success. The room was utterly
packed and also there were non-black people there so guess people did not feel excluded. It was very very interesting and I would love to do the panel again.
(Also score for the title, there was lots of work to keep the original title).
I enjoyed the Fanthropology panel and I would hope for a larger room for the Mythology in Anime panel. Maybe have it just before or just after a Japanese lore panel? They kind of go together I think. I missed some panels but it couldn't be helped. What little I saw of the game show panels I enjoyed. Hopefully I get to see more of the costuming panels next year (I didn't have much time, but the little I did see was very helpful) I would like to see a Japanese fashion panel track (or mini track) like something on Kimonos (i know there some other styling of older clothes which could help with a cosplay), also I noticed there was a Japanese makeup trend with lots of eyeshadow? I would like to know about that. So I guess a panel track on past and contemporary Japanese fashion (makeup and hairstyles). Heck it could even include some historical stuff, and could help with some peoples cosplay as a lot of anime has historical elements. You know people could explain how the trend came about, basic element, where to buy the items or how to make, etc... I was impressed with how well researched the Japanese food panel was. Something informative like that while also being a how to. I guess. (I don't think I am explaining it right, I have a cold). I heard a few years back they had a Japanese fashion show? That would be cool too. Oh!!!!!!! Since there is a workshop on Medieval dancing (which I love) , could there be something on Japanese traditional dance? I would love to lean about that. Maybe stuff on stage techniques for skits? i was impressed with some of the stage fighting and plain stage choreography for the several of the skits in the skit show. That is all I have for now |

I would also like to see more panels about the industry, and any panels run by the industry. For a new panel, I'm thinking about focusing Bad/Good Things
that Happen to Good/Bad Anime and Manga (and so on) on economics and the industry. I am also thinking about a panel that talks about the differnces between the
plot, characters, drawing quality, etc. of manga of difference releases (1 week, 2 week, 1 month) and how it affects its derivitives (e.g. the anime which is
based on the weekly realease manga vs. the monthly release manga). And what about a panel focusing on merchandizing?

@Lady Scaper: I'm glad the info at the food panel came across. I wasn't sure if anyone understood what I was saying, as I was getting really tongue
tied and having a really hard time presenting that day (on account I myself was inundated with stomach flu -_-)
As for other panels, I unfortunately didn't have time to attend any outside of my own X I

I had to miss the Pokemon Biology panel, but chatted with the hosts, and the reaction to fans in the panel was spectacular. Definitely a must-do-again.

The other panels had no chance against the Pokemon Biology panel xD I don't remember how much time was actually spent on pokemon biology (unless in the
description they said they would spend a lot of time on Legendaries) but it was a great first-time panel, and for a Saturday 10am panel being totally packed...
let's see if they can pull this off next year.

The best and worst moments clip show filled up quick and everyone seemed to have enjoyed it; next year we'll try to get more of an input with clips people
think should be on it, I've already got a few from audience suggestions.
The mythology panel was excellent, though perhaps a more diversified knowledge of the numerous mythological references in the myriad anime and manga out there may make it more enjoyable, how practical this would be... its a lot of anime to watch. There certainly seemed like enough of an interest to have a separate Japanese mythology panel. I enjoyed the Fanthropology panel quite a bit as well, quite interesting to see the geeks getting involved in a more academic function. |

The costuming panels are really great!! Evevn if I was planning to go to almost all of them (but wasn't able to). The ones I went to though are really
good and informative (specially the boots,shoes and accessories one). I'd be interested to go again next yr!!
The make-up panel by the GOH was very informative too, specially the theater make-up thing. It would be interesting if there will be like a
"regular" make-up panel too?!

If you put them together you create a 2 hours block that conflict with other stuff, or you make sure that some people won't be able to see *all* on that sub-topic because it happens they can't be there friday night (or fill in whenever they are) So, we try to scatter similar programming so that if you can't make it to one, you get a decent chance to make it to the other. Obviously Cosplay panel have to bend this principle due to time constraints (can't really put them against the masquerade ya know) and topic devotion.

I've been thinking about this idea for a little bit and wanted to know if it has support. For next year's Con can we have a thread that is speficially
for panellists to ask their fellow panellists to run a certain panel? This would dissallow posts of panellists saying they would or would not like to do it,
the thread would only be a suggestions thread. Then, if anyone likes the ideas they can make a separate thread. I know that we have that list with a lot of
panel topics but his way we know what other panellists would like to do but e.g. do not know enough about or are already doing a certain amount of panels.
