I'm hoping to at least see people doing Brawl friendlies on Saturday.

Well looking at the programming guide it says the Brawl tournament will be at 8PM on Friday, so my question is to whoever is running the tournament, how early
do we need to show up to sign up for the tournament, or when is sign ups?

Response from someone running the tournament would be nice, since I'm not the only person wondering about pre-reg for the tournament.

Lol, that isn't what I was looking to hear.
All I know is if I show up early and don't get a spot I'll be annoyed like last year. |

Well, there are thousands of people that go to Anime North, and hundreds that are generally interested in entering any type of smash bros tourney given
it's popularity... not everyone gets in.
That said, I've been to Anime North for a few years now and I've seen early signups and not-so-early signups. So I can't really say. As for friendly matches... a friend of mine may be bringing his Wii and with it his homebrew hacks... perhaps you are familiar with Brawl +? If not, google it up, it's basically a set of hacks designed to balance the game better, overall it's definitely a different experience, but not having played around with it at a competitive level, I can't really say how well it fares compared to normal Brawl. |

As a head's up, I was told by the hotel staff that it is not possible to hook up a Wii (or any other console) to the TVs in the guestrooms in the hotel. Is
this actually true or is does the hotel just not want people screwing around with the TVs?

I'm not sure about that, I know people hook up consoles in their rooms anyways.
As for the tournament, it's capped at 64 people and suppose to finish in 2 hours which is dumb, but whatever. |

You are free to bring your own equipment and hook it to a free TV in the gaming room. That's what Herb (one of the gaming staff members) said in another
topic on this forum.

I know my friends got a Wii hooked up to it in their DT room last year; I played Brawl with them.
