Posts: 16 (05/16/09 5:43 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None The three month battle is finally over and the printing is done and I'm so excited so I thought I'd show them off now 8D This one is a glasses-themed original BL comic anthology with silkscreened cover b/w 80p, full bleed, perfect bound, 13cm x 19.5cm. Artists: koyar, Juu Durchansky (Juzilla on this board), Saicoink, Artemis (3 out of 4 of us have tables!) More pictures I also have a Prince of Tennis doujinshi that I finished about 2 weeks ago 8D That's Jiroh striking a Sailormoon pose! back cover silkscreened cover, b/w 36p + 1 colour page full bleed perfect bound, 13cm x 19cm. Hyoutei-centric non-BL. My friends and I will be crying as we haul these. I'm totally up for book trades. And we have more titles than these two, I'm sure you'll find something! So please come and check out our tables! B14 and B13! If you have your own books, please post yours too because I'm curious!

Was it expensive to bind? Screenprinting the cover is such a good idea, I imagine it cuts down on printing costs and it looks so much more stylish. It's got that hand-made quality to it, which is so nice since we don't have awesome doujinshi-printing places like Japan does. How much are you selling them for? I really wanted to do a comic but I'm so ashamed of my laziness. Seeing how cool yours is just from those pictures makes me wanna get off my butt and do my story already XD

Those look so awesome! u_u I made a Star Ocean doujinshi with my sis a few years back that I still have copies of for sale but obviously it's not something new for this year. http://humangray.com/etc/dxc/djpreview.jpg I've been working a themed artbook with two friends but it's not done yet. I'm generally responsible for the crack 8D Slam Punkz (Slam Dunk fanbook) Perfect bound, full colour cover, 85pgs b/w comics from: me, koyar, cyen, waiji, amei guest art: eisu, aimo, laine, kim, zid, emlan, doctaj, lau The stories in this book also range from drama to crack! A great tribute to an amazing series ~ Oh! Gotta Go! I can't even begin to describe..... I'm also in 'Saisons des Lunettes' that Koyar mentioned above ! I'm sad that I wasn't able to finish one of my books in time for AN, but perhaps it will be ready if the Doujinka Festival is happening ?

We're still hoping to get issue 7 of our "Lucian Fallen" series (original) out in time for AN. I'll come looking for you guys for sure! > ArmaStama I can say it cost zero dollar for binding since I did it myself 8D May be I used $2 worth of glue. It's just labour intensive, same with screenprinting, although it probably is nothing compared to the drawing part. I would be happy if cheap small run printing places exist, but then I figured I should just start my own~ I have quite a number of books with saddle stitching too. I haven't decided on the price yet, something in the range of 5-10 depending on the book. >Lroy Are you going to have the new Zelda Anthology? I got the last one from Cyen. :3

The designer in me can't get over the awesomness of the silk-screened covers... o I must... touch them... flail Next year I hope to make a book or two, I will probably be making a doujinshi and if I have time, fixing up my original comic to make it suitable to print. Therefore, I hope to buy as many of everyone's books that I can afford since they'd be so motivating to me, and also to examine everyone's binding techniques! XD In everyone's experience here, do you think that the general rule that fan art usually sells better than original stuff applies to books too? Personally I'm the type who will read anything put in front of me, so I'd buy any book that catches my eye, but for prints I'd still prefer my favorite characters mainly, not sure if the general population would do the same though...!? And my "art group"'s first fanbook will be on sale at AN too. Since it was our first time and we had no clue about how to make books, it's not as pretty and shiny as most of everyone else's here >///<;; but we all worked really hard on it, so it's made with love! It's a Bleach doujinshi focusing on Tatsuki and her escapades as a shinigami. ^__^ What's pictured here is all the copies I've got left. If Doujinka Festival is happening again this year, this book will definitely be there, along with some others I have yet to begin work on. You can also order it online if you wish.

I'm curious though, does anybody have sketchbooks there going to sell? I was thinking of printing and binding together some sketches to sell at my table, but people have told me that it usually doesn't sell well...
