@ brothers (White) from Ottawa Ontario went to Japan to go to College there, when they did, they formed a Japanese band with 3/4 other musicians. They are now
one of the biggest jpop sensations in Japan believe it or not.
Is it possible to contact them? Why yes, See the brothers of the band also have another brother, Ajay, who works in Brokage/Realistate in Ottawa. My sister
works with him.
Monkey Majik came to Ottawa to perform in the Zaphods bar, Tickets were sold out! I was lucky to get in because Ajay gave me a ticket.
Im sure I could help on getting them to AN if you guys want, they are a great band, have made a huge name for themselves and I would love to see them perform
again and what better place then at Anime North????

Lol yeah I do xD I was supposed to meet the band back stage but Ajay disappeared to help out in the back and supposidly they had an interview >.> He owes
me!! Ill bug my sis to bug him for free merchandise.
But yeah, I have connections, I even hung out with the singer's Parents and Grandma xD |

With the exception of the misplaced hip-hop stuff, these guys sound totally fresh and original. And I am a total critic when it comes to Japanese music
anymore, since it all sounds exactly the same to me nowadays. Props to these guys
And the Shamisen stuff in the second(?) video was awesome. Reminds me of why I want a shamisen. In fact, I remember an interview with ex-Megadeth (current j-pop session) guitarist Marty Friedman, saying that the reason that even the cheesiest pop song in Japan will have a guitar solo is because they're so used to the sound of the shamisen, and that the electric guitar is pretty close to that sound. I think it's damn cool <3

These guys are pretty original I think x] It's different to have 2 white guys with Japanese guys in a band where the singers actually know Japanese xD

I wish >.< Anime North is too slow on getting any GOOD artist.
Instead of a real band they get this Quatro Quo thingy which is just 4 voice actors singing together :/ I have no doubt they are good at singing but I think AN is getting a bit lazy on finding a real band with a good name.
