My name is Jon and I'm this year's Pro Wrestling Show Liaison! I'd like to let you know that the Anime Pro Wrestling Show will return for the 4th year to Anime North for the weekend! As more details come up, this thread shall be updated with them. The GCW and Anime North are proud to announce that SHARK BOY will be making his return to the Anime Pro Wrestling show! He was present in the first year and we're happy to have him return this year, our 4th year of doing Anime Pro Wrestling! He is currently working in TNA under the name Kiyoshi, but hails from Japan. He's a rising star who is the protégé of the legendary Keiji Mutoh of Japan. He has competed for All Japan, and then moved to North America to wrestle for multiple promotions like BCW run by Scott D'Amore, GCW who is our partner in running Anime Pro Wrestling, and many more! He's still booked as the show is in May so he's taking the current time now to sort things out. He was already booked prior to the fire and if you check his site above, he's going to be honouring that booking and we thank him for that as he's been a loyal participant in the past to this show. We send our condolences to him and hope he can get back to some normancy soon. Of course if any changes occur that's why the card subject to change is placed there, but at this time, Awesome Kong, Akira Raijin and Shark Boy are still coming to Anime North! ALSO you can check info on the shows too at the GCW events pages at Anime North 2009 and Anime Hardcore There will be shows on FRIDAY MAY 22nd starting at 7PM, and 2 shows on SATURDAY MAY 23rd at 1PM and 4PM, with a 3PM Question and Answer period with the guests in the ring! So spread the word to anime and wrestling fans alike, and again if you're an aspiring costume maker/cosplayer, read the thread above for submitting YOUR cosplay costumes for wrestlers to wear in the show! For those who have never seen her wrestle before, take it from me, top tier talent. I first saw hear wrestler under the name Precious Lucy in the HWF against JC Owens and by god can she do it. No man, no woman, not even the Ontario government can stop her from pwn'ing the competition (yes the Government tried to prevent her from having intergender matches in Ontario but she wouldn't let them keep her down and because of her determination and passion, well just read this http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam.../2006/03/09/1479915.html , it'll word it better than I can). Shark Boy, Akira Raijin, Awesome Kong, Sexxxy Eddy, also great talent to watch, but to me I consider Lufisto the main draw (but that's just my opinion). I haven't seen Amazing Darkstone, King Sphinx, Timothy Dalton or Oruku Ghemma personally (I have heard of their work though) but something tells me this will be a good chance to scout talent and see new careers to follow. If it wasn't for this event last year, I would have had no idea who Rip Impact was, nor Xtremo, nor Warhead, EZE, etc, but I've kept uptodate on what they've been doing lately and can't wait to see them in action again. Regardless of who all attends this year's event, I'll be there (maybe not for every match for all the shows, depending on scheduling on my part for other events, but I will be there, I'm going to see all that I can). This isn't WWE, this isn't TNA, this is wrestling as it was meant to be.

Anime Themed Wrestling: In association with Great Canadian Wrestling Expo (www.GCWE.com) and Wyldstar Comics, Saturday will rumble with Shark Boy, Awesome Kong, Lufisto, our special Japanese Guest Wrestler Akira Raijin! Plus Death Note's "L", Street Fighter, DC superheroes, Battle Royale and more! So it's only days away, and expect the mix of great pro wrestling from TNA talent mixed with the Canadian independant talent, and also matches with your favorite anime, video game and comic characters in action!
