Set up times and rules were included on the artist alley policy for 2008. Please read that policy as you did sign the contract stating you've looked
through it and understood the contents... If you haven't taken the time to read it or download it from the website, please do so now.

I did read the policy and I noticed this: Times are subject to change
So I was'nt sure because if I compare the website's informations with the PDF : PDF : Artist Alley Registration time: Friday, May 23, 2008: 3pm - 5pm. Open access to convention attendees: Friday May 23, 2008: 5pm - 10pm Open access to convention attendees: Saturday May 24, 2008: 10 am - 10pm Open access to convention attendees: Sunday May 25, 2008: 10am - 5pm Website : Convention hours are: Friday, May 23, 2008 6 PM to 2 AM Saturday, May 24, 2008 10 AM to 2 AM Sunday, May 25, 2008 10 AM to 6 PM I was just wondering how it is possible for the visitors to attend in the Artist Alley starting at 5PM (pdf), if on the website the convention's hours start at 6PM? I must have missed something?

In previous years, the artists can get in before regular attendees so they can set up, just like dealer's do.

There's a portion on the artist alley policy that says "Set up". That's why I encourage people to
read everything in that policy as the information is there.
When you open the PDF, press CTRL F and put "Setup" without quotations. The information is there for set up times specifically for friday. You can't get in the building the same time as dealers though, as we have an assigned time to set up and convention security will not allow you near the premises, but yes - as Arma Stama was kind enough to point out-, we schedule it so you can set up before the attendees are allowed in the area. As for convention time changes, that's why it's noted on the policy that "Times are subject to change" depending on the decisions of operations. Far as I do know, we are still opening the Alley Area and Dealers Area at 5:00pm. Convention events and programming starts at 6pm. (it's noted on the website that dealers area opens earlier at 5 and we've always opened with them since we share the general vicinity.) So whatever time we have up there is what time we, the alley, will open. We will announce any time changes ourselves, either on the day of the convention or through e-mail. Otherwise, no. We are not opening at 6. We're opening it to convention attendees at 5 as stated on the policy. If you're still having trouble finding that information, please note me and I'll c/p the portion of the policy that has that information for you.

Thanks for the clarifications, I was confuse between the Convehtion's hours and Dealer's hours, it's my first time and didn't know people were
allowed to arrive at 5PM to go in the Dealer's Area, I though it was 6PM for all visitors! Now this is more clear, we won't have to wait from 5PM to
6PM for visitors to arrive!

Aaah, alright. Well we also asked the higher ups if they can allow the artists to enter the TCC earlier than the attendees for Saturday and Sunday since I
know some people need to re-setup their merchandise and the staff has to rearrange the chairs that have been "misplaced" over the previous days so
all things are accounted for. I'll e-mail all the new information for all the participating artists once I have that confirmed (hopefully by tomorrow).
