Posts: 103 (04/20/08 11:39 AM) More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None With AN a little over a month away, how is everybody managing their time with getting all their goods ready? Some people in post-secondary are out of school now, but for high school students I know it can be a crazy time of year to get everything ready. Me, I procrastinated all year ^^;; I'm about 1/3rd done my keychain designs and got 3 prints. I'm hoping to make 2 designs a week, and roughly 4 keychain designs a week. (they'll be double-sided with different designs on some) My partner is taking care of bookmarks, I hope he doesn't procrastinate as bad as I do. I'm determined to make some really pretty posters too, but 0% on that so far.

I really miss the days when I had 2-3 weeks of prep-time for AN. The best plan is to make a realistic schedule and stick to it. Best of luck, everyone!!

(and then after all the designs are implented with colour, I have to introduce them to different merch, like magnets and bookmarks.. XD) And still got projects, exams, and work, so I gotta be diligent! XDD I finished three sets of new keychain designs and am deciding on covers for my notebooks. Aside from that is ... actual production XD (printing, cutting, laminating etc.) And working on more art if I have the time. XD I was wanting to do a better overhang display for the table but it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon between work and travel et cetera so ... oh well! Still have a month to go, we'll see! Artist Alley Jam? AAtoast!

Posts: 13 (04/21/08 11:48 PM) More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I pooped out like... 5 different prints last week... now I'm all creatively dried up (artist alley+ocad projects=death to all creative cells in the overloaded brain). I suppose it's a good thing though... time for exams ;.; But with last week's art spammage, I pretty much have all my art done for bookmarks, buttons, postcards and full prints. I've got all my bookmarks arranged on 4x6" files so those are print-ready, and I think my 8x10's are ready... and I have a few originals that are ready for selling too... so I'm pretty far ahead compared to last year (last year's mess included drawing and colouring my print on the monday of the week of AN...). I just need to doodle some more stuff for buttons and possibly one or two more bookmark and postcard designs and I'm done ;.; spazzes from excitement 31 days, 17 hours, 12 (or so) minutes left until AN...

XD;;; I have new button designs finished... so there's something at least but I still want to make stickers, postcards, prints, and some jewellery. I just got done school and I will also be starting a new full-time job soon so just thank goodness I still have leftovers from last year I can sell too!

I've actually been steadily working on the hand made fuzzy ears (including 1 type with a different look!) since last year so I'm good with the quantity I have on hand so far. Yeah, the combo of work (full time) + closing then "fixing" your first home + wedding prep (which, honestly, I've been procrastinating on) doesn't leave as much time as we'd want to prep for AN but we're still at a good pace of getting what we planned done. As for the actual comic, an issue has been completed late summer of last year, so it's at least an issue that's new to people who only frequent AN. We're still trying to work on the next one, of course, since it's a project we really don't take a "break" on. Oh and "we" = my partner and I. You mentioned you print on photo paper before, right? If you're planning on printing bookmarks on photo paper, that'll turn out looking really nice. Where do you plan on printing them at home, or at a store? The reason I'm interested is because I plan on printing my keychains that way, and I've found that Superstore and Fortinos print 4x6 for very cheap. Next week they go on sale for 17 cents I believe. 8x10 is 2.99 there, but last week they were half price. And everyone sounds like they've gotten a done a heck of a lot more than me! o.o Panic mode officially starts ..................... .............. ................ now!
