I haven't been following all the chatter on their mixi group (I'm flooded with it, more than any other group I'm involved with, but I'm semi-illiterate in Japanese, so...) but I was a huge fan in the mid 90's. I remember buying their Lunatic Tokyo concert laserdisc in Akihabara and trying to get tickets to see them perform while I was in Japan, but they were long sold out and I had no idea how to get tickets otherwise.

I've been out of it so I haven't followed what's popular in J-Rock these days. My friend Rick Frankum ran the first English language J-Rock list in... '94? Around the time he started working at Sun here in the SF Bay Area. I remember the love for X-Japan, Penicillin, Buck Tick and Luna Sea. I don't remember the other popular bands at the time.
