"5cm per second" would be a great anime to show at AN2008, just a suggestion. It's also known as "Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru". I think it'd be pretty good because it's only contains three episodes, and overall those three episodes together are only 63 minutes
long, and it's unbelievably amazing. <3 Lots of eye candy, like Miyazaki's works.
For more background information, just so you know - it's directed by the amazing Makoto Shinkai, whose popular is rising daily. <3 (He's sometimes called the 'new Miyazaki') He also did "Voices of a Distant Star" and "The Place Promised in Our Early Days" which are equally as beautiful. <3
