Just give me some feedback on which you guys would like. I wasn't around for AN06's SSB64 tournament, but I do know that SSBM has been a hit for the
past 2 years, and SSBB is being hyped up pretty hard at the moment.
So which of the games of the series do you guys have interest for? Post up what you like. (can be more than one)

I'm sure there will be a few ppl that are willing to bring in their wii, as aswell as brawl. At least thats what keep all night gaming alive during the
previous years. Im going to ask my friend to bring his down, but since I dont all I can do is bring down some extra gamecube controllers. It would be so much
better at least most of the ppl down at the gaming area brought their own controllers and such cuz I hate seeing 20 guys around 1 tv sharing 2 controllers.
Having to share between that number is just inefficient -_- Some ppl just want to catch a free show and ends getting everyone elses way.

After playing a lot of Brawl, I think it's safe to say that there should still be a strong, healthy amount of Melee gaming.

If there are any Smash tourneys, I vote wholly for Brawl, as it's what i've been playing and practicing on since March 9.
I'm not interested in 64 or Melee in the least.

According to the AnimeNorth site under gaming stuff tread links, they've said that they'll be having many prizes for the top players for the gaming
events (from figures to soundtracks). Now knowing that has really motivated me to actually join some tourneys this year. And if there is a brawl tourney, I am
all up for it, even over a melee one. Not that melee is bad or anything, but I find it simply a bit out-of-date.

I can let you know as of right now we will only have Smash Bros Melee & Brawl, we won't (atleast not yet) have an N64 with the original brawl. I'll let ron give you all the details however as i'm just supplying the games/ systems. Jim |

90% of those who have played Melee and have tried brawl think brawl really doesn't stand up to.
I really don't think AN should limit themselves to a brawl only atmosphere, as it really isn't that competitive to being with. Sakurai really went is a poor direction for those who enjoyed competative smash bros with brawl, Melee will never be out of date until they make a real game again. Brawl is pretty broken in terms of characters and gameplay too. Just voicing my opinion on those who express that they would not like any melee.

I think you're exaggerating. I'm tired of seeing this debate on every smash forum I go to. I don't think it matters whether you think it doesn't stand up, or it's not competitive. Brawl is the newest game in the series, and the majority of people have moved on. Having a Melee tournament, okay, that's fine. I think Brawl should be the main event though. We've been playing Melee for 7 years now. |
