Indeed. As long as there is at least one Wii down at AN there will be brawl players. Same goes for cube and melee fans.

Sucks to hear. I'm still hoping there's both Melee and Brawl tournaments! I just ordered one of the new all white Gamecube controllers off Play-Asia

If there are any Smash tourneys, I vote wholly for Brawl, as it's what i've been playing and practicing on since March 9.
I'm not interested in 64 or Melee in the least.

According to the AnimeNorth site under gaming stuff tread links, they've said that they'll be having many prizes for the top players for the gaming
events (from figures to soundtracks). Now knowing that has really motivated me to actually join some tourneys this year. And if there is a brawl tourney, I am
all up for it, even over a melee one. Not that melee is bad or anything, but I find it simply a bit out-of-date.

hey gang,
I can let you know as of right now we will only have Smash Bros Melee & Brawl, we won't (atleast not yet) have an N64 with the original brawl. I'll let ron give you all the details however as i'm just supplying the games/ systems. Jim |

90% of those who have played Melee and have tried brawl think brawl really doesn't stand up to.
I really don't think AN should limit themselves to a brawl only atmosphere, as it really isn't that competitive to being with. Sakurai really went is a poor direction for those who enjoyed competative smash bros with brawl, Melee will never be out of date until they make a real game again. Brawl is pretty broken in terms of characters and gameplay too. Just voicing my opinion on those who express that they would not like any melee.

I think you're exaggerating. I'm tired of seeing this debate on every smash forum I go to. I don't think it matters whether you think it doesn't stand up, or it's not competitive. Brawl is the newest game in the series, and the majority of people have moved on. Having a Melee tournament, okay, that's fine. I think Brawl should be the main event though. We've been playing Melee for 7 years now. |
