Also i heard a roumor that the rave is being held at the ttc this year is this true?again sorry if this has already been asked.

The wristbands were handed out Friday evening, in the TCC, and people lined up to get them on a first-come, first-serve basis. The wristbands were no additional cost, but you did have to physically go get one; they weren't offered at the reg desk or with pre-registration. I'm not sure what the policy will be this year; provided there were no major problems with the process last year, there's a good chance it'll be similar this year. Of course, that's just a guess; I'm sure the Rave organizers have more up-to-date info than I do, and they'll let us know what's happening in due time. =)

Posts: 32 (04/17/09 12:55 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	won't you run a risk of over filling the room? i mean it's cool me and my friends coudn't last year cause they wanted to check out young street and couldn't get back in time to get wrist bands but a fire hazzard would be a bad thing i'd assume? manga, anime, magic cards, dungeons and dragons, never willingly read a book without a fanasty setting,internet obsessions and a retired /b/tard .....18 years and counting and i bet i'll be counting for alot longer too lol !

Please be careful with this - it is illegal to perform in public using music that wasn't purchased legitimately. It's fine to download music for your home computer, but public performances have an ethical and legal requirement to pay for the music before playing it.

My concern is that submissions fall under the licensing requirement. It can be easy to think that one or two tracks not under license won't matter, but it does. As long as the submitter paid for the track then it's pretty well fine to play it, mind you. The only problem comes when somebody downloads a track off a torrent and then submits it and it gets played without a license. That's stealing, plain and simple. I'm not suggesting that's going to happen, simply calling attention to the possibility to ensure that it doesn't. I'm pretty sure the organizers are aware of this and planning to do things properly - if they love music enough to organize a "j-rave" then I'm sure they are respectful of it. Musicians are generally the same, the world over.
