I held one of the tables (one closest to the doors) and sold tooooonnnnnssss of stuff! We seemed to be an extremely popular table, but of course we did have quite a few things to sell. I really loved this event and will probably take part in it next year if I can scrounge up enough items to sell again!

IMHO they should do this more than one day next year, I went but had to leave right away because I had to get ready for a performance

*giggles* I'm happy. I got a digimon place setting. (cup, plate, bowl) It made the inner fangirl in me squee. ^_^
Which guy from th'improv were you, Aaron? (I'm HORRIBLE with names! >.<) I loved the shows you guys did! It's too bad you had to miss out on most of the Nominoichi. |

I didn't have a huge amount to sell, but I sold almost everything. I was quite pleased.
I thought it was long enough. As a busy staff member I was still able to scrounge enough time to sell. If it was any longer I might just not be able to do it. I was rather disappointed with all the room switching and the bad information going around. Overall, a very good first time event! |

Me a couple friends shared a table. We sold about 3/4 of what we brought. I didn't make a whole lot because of buying things there, plus I invited too many friends to share the table and couldn't put all of it out at once. >.< However, all together, our table made about $750.
We had the first table that everyone was piling at when they first entered. We kinda commandeered the empty table next to us half way through to lay out posters and larger things. ~Puruto-chan<3 Cosplay:

Had fun at the Nominoichi
|
I got some video from the Nominoichi. I had fun trying to sell as much as I could. I made a modest $30 or so. At least I'm several tapes lighter. One guy who bought the Moldiver dub set I offered a copy of the Secrets of Moldiver tape on DVD because he got the set - I gave him a card but haven't heard back. One guy who bought my last 2 Chun Li / Cammy figures was ecstatic at the deal he made. I'm glad to have those out of my room - I kept all the variants for myself. I wish I had gone through my imported manga for the Japanese editions of stuff I don't want anymore. Or had brought the Japanese Ranma 1/2 Minifigures I got that weekend prior to AN. I found one store offering the figures I saw last month or so in Previews but the only one I wanted had Shampoo in it. The store wouldn't sell me that one until I starting buying and opening each one to see if 'that was the one'.. And paid with a $50 each time. By the time I got the 4th one, I wore him down and almost ran the store out of change. ^_^
If I am able to go to Anime North in 2007, I will try to bring more stuff I've lost interest in. I don't plan to make a whole lot, but then I don't get rid of a whole lot either. Everything went more or less as planned, and the video I got was cool. Cosplaying DOA Kasumi, some girl in a nice red China dress, and those guys with the hats!! They were a riot! ja ne nyo deshi... |

Oh yeah, one more tidbit
|
I ended up buying a few things before I left for the evening.One manga book (O.O) that turned out to be really good, one doujinshi which is good, and the final Sabre Marionette J collection (which would be #3 of that release). Disk 1 of that set started to do some cracking from the center hole, so I put a little superglue on the cracks to hopefully stop it progressing into the data portion, and I'm storing it now in a DVD sleeve - one of those with a fabric lining. Just so the cracks don't progress further from the popping in and out of the case.
At least the tapes I sold I can vouch as not having hidden defects or anything... ^_^ |

I absolutely loved nominoichi! I think it was a really great idea, especially since anime/manga can be expensive if you're always buying stuff new. Anyway, I only went to buy but maybe I'll sell stuff next year. I only bought two things: Magic Knights Rayearth season 1 box set VHS (it was only seven dollars so I figured why not?), and all ten volumes of kodocha for 30 dollars (I was super happy about this cuz they were in great condition and I was planning on buying them new which probably would have set me back 100 dollars). I'll definitely be checking it out again next year.

So sorry! | ||
|
Mr. Shojo...I'm the one who probably sold you the DVD. I was selling it for a friend, so I had to sell it for what he wanted to sell it for. Regardless, I thought I had mentioned about the DVD cracking slightly in the core, but I guess I didn't. I'm so sorry about that. If you would like your money back, I would be happy to refund it for you. Do you have PayPal or some other way of me refunding your money?
Actually, I find that this really bothers me. I'm not a dishonest person, and I feel badly for selling it to you without mentioning it. I really had intended to mention it to any buyer, but my booth was much busier than I expected it to be and I failed to mention it. Not a good excuse, I know. I also didn't inspect the DVD myself to see how bad it was. I can't apologize enough. EDIT: Did you say you bought an entire set? I only sold one volume of SMJ, and I don't remember which number it was. Regardless, if the person I sold it to wants their money back, then please let me know. I still feel badly about it. Though after careful thought, I do recall mentioning it. Mind you, I still might not have and feel badly, regardless. |

As long as it is stored in the sleeve I got for it from something else I got, it will not crack any further and it still plays just fine. I found 2 DVD Easter eggs on the 1st disc of Collection 3 BTW: One has Megumi Hayashibara and a count-down of the Top 10 sub characters and the other is clean OP/ED of SMJ. ^_^ "Did you say you bought an entire set? I only sold one volume of SMJ, and I don't remember which number it was." Collection 3, which was good because my friends have SMJ Collection 1, and judging from footage on Collection 3, I definitely want to see what's on #2. ^_^ I don't have paypal nor do I use it, but in any case I'm happy with my purchase. I can probably get someone to make a backup DVD burn at some point, but the disk is fine. ja ne nyo deshi punyoun... |

Re: Nominoichi | ||

The Nominoichi was wonderful, even if I only got there in the last 20 mins or so. If I remember correctly, I got a Yu Yu Hakusho DVD that I'd been needing, and the entire DBZ Garlic Jr. Saga on tape! One of my favorite sgas in the show. <3
I really hope the AN crew keeps this as a permanent feature of the con, I know I'll continue to be a buyer, and I may even be a seller someday.... |
