We are accepting online submissions until midnight tomorrow (that is 12:00am April 2). Mailed submissions must be postmarked by tomorrow (April 1).

Hello, I have a few questions regarding the Anime North AMV contest, if someone can help, I shall be grateful.

1. do we have to have a 3 second black space to my AMV?
2. how many AMVs are we allowed to enter and can we enter MEPs?
3. Do you have to be at the Anime Con to claim your prize (if you win one). I might not be not able to come to Toronto on the dates of the con.

I just had a quick question. I know that "Avatar: The Last Airbender" isn't Japanese anime, however would it still qualify for the AMV competition? I figured the animation style is similar enough to anime (it's perhaps the best North American anime to date) and it's been embraced by many in the anime community.

i'm new and will probably be attending 2008, can anyone gimme a hand with the amv contest rulez 4 this year's contest. are they still limited to the 2007 rules? i hav an interesting fma/eureka 7 i wud like to submit. also, can i submit a video if i've already posted it on youtube?

Where can you (if it's possible) find the AMVs from the AMV contest to download them? Is there a separate list anywhere, so you don't have to find them individually?

I loved so many of the AMVs at the contest and waaaant them!

Hmmm, with the dearth of forum traffic, the AMVC is unsure how many people are putting together AMVs specifically for AN2007. Either everyone now knows the drill or they got scared away by the high quality of the entries.

Locating A Tribute to Maes Hughes

I am trying to track down the AMV that was submitted this year as an exhibition piece. It was an FMA AVM, done to a choir singing Listen to the Rain (it was attributed to Evanescence). I think that it was a wonderfully moving AMV and if anyone has information on where to find it on this vast interweb of ours, please reply here.

Anime North 2006 AMV Competition Results

15 Judges in three different cities and two countries spent hours judging and prejudging this years crop of AMVs. We had a lot of high-calibre entries this year. Were sorry if your video did not make the finals, but the judges could only take so many Final Fantasy: Advent Children videos before they started to go loopy. This was also the first year in a while that we had to make a separate block for entries that we reclassified alternative because they were judged to contain too much graphic...

Hi, I was just reading the AMV contest's rules and I'm not sure that this is what was meant:

Eroticism, sensuality (ecchi, lemon), violent action and ludicrous over-the-top cartoon violence are acceptable.

Shoouldn't it be 'ARE NOT' ? O.o Sorry, maybe I'm wrong but I just wanted to point that out...
