So... I was wondering what new anime and movies do you think they'll have this year?
Because that is one of the best parts of the con. I love seeing new stuff and AN usually has good stuff... like Gurren Lagann last year and XXXholic the previous year.
I want to watch Nabari No Ou for the straight from Japan stuff and Black blood brothers for the new domesticated stuff.

Anyone else have ideas what might be a good suggestion?

I cannot remember if we had one last year.. (or maybe it was only for a part of the day),
-anyway I hope if it is possible that one room could be dedicated to all-shoujo-all-the-time.
For those big time shoujo fans =D

It might be neat to show some from different eras too (ie. 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, etc).

"5cm per second" would be a great anime to show at AN2008, just a suggestion. It's also known as "Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru". I think it'd be pretty good because it's only contains three episodes, and overall those three episodes together are only 63 minutes long, and it's unbelievably amazing. <3 Lots of...

Since the schedule ends at 12:00 am Friday and Saturday night, does this mean there's no longer any video showings after midnight? :( Or was this part of the schedule simply not released since most of the video programming is TBA anyway?

Just wanted to suggest this as a possible showing at the con. I've been talking to Fingers, and he referred me here. He shares my sentiment that this would be a decent anime to show at the convention, and I wondered if it would be possible.

Anime Karaoke?

Wasn't sure where to put this, and Video Programming was my first thought, so...

How about AN '07 holds an Anime Karaoke event, most likely to be in the Doubletree? I don't really have that many details since this idea just came to me recently, but pretty much just have anime theme songs stored onto a computer or something, and have lyric sheets and a mic ready.

Closing ceremony music video

I was there for last year's closing ceremonies. It was nice, especially the fiddler and sword shows. But while the closing video was touching, it was pretty depressing, and I know others had the same sentiment! I figure by now this year's video is pretty much done and I'll look forward to that along with the rest of the ceremony, but I'm hoping it isn't as much of a downer. 2005's had a "it's the end of the world" feel to it, I was hoping for more of a "this year rocked, next...
