FYI.

After 3 looooong nights of scheduling, it's starting to look like it could move on its own.
With our usual enthusiasm , we actually ended up with more panels than slots.... We're trying to find a broom closet somewhere to stuff some events or something

I know this sounds pretty late, and these 4 panels are quite a bit of work, but I am quite interested in getting to know people who know of these animes and are willing to put in the time and effort to talking about these animes.

By the way, we'll also be doing viewings of these animes (hopefully), so these might more or less just be viewings, but for some, it may be more talking then viewing.

So yea, I am interested in seeing how many people are interested in these...

I was just curious, in the thread entitled "still need more bodies", several of the panels were links to a page that had a panelist login. How does one go about logging in. i.e. how do you get a user name/ password?

I'm a little surprised noone else has done this yet, but a quick search through this board seems to show nobody else has planned to do this. I would like to do a fanfiction panel, it's usually a popular topic at cons. If there has been someone signing up for this already, or if others would like to participate in the panel, I'd like to get in contact with them before the con so as to set up some basic guidelines about areas of discussion and so forth so we're not stepping on...

Hey guys! A new idea...

There are several popular anime which are loved by a lot of people. However, there are some anime which no one seems to like. I'm not talking about titles which are just "okay", but titles which really are badly-made and don't serve any useful purpose other than being seeked out by people such as myself to laugh at. Bad animation, poor storytelling, plotholes the size of Jupiter, boring/cliche/uninteresting characters, crappy/annoying music,...

We did one last year and we hope to be able to do this again. Are there any podcasters out there interested in helping out with this one? Is there anyone interested in coming to this one? Is there any budding podcasters out there?

Just a workshop on podcast basics and share a few experiences in making and promoting them.

This will be in addition to our podcast's live tapings as part of the evening programming.

As the title said, I was thinking of a female shinigami meeting panel, though I have no idea if it's feasable. For those who may wonder, I'm talking about Bleach Soul Society Shinigamis, not Death Note!

There could be many ideas for this one, inspired either by the anime for activities, or a discussion relate to those female shinigami, or what female shinigami could be talking about.

Fansubs-The Great Debate!

Fansubs. American companies it's lowering their DVD sales. American Voice Actors say it's putting them out of work. It's not fair to people who actually purchase legal DVDs.

Yet, people still DO download full (series) fansubs.

Being an active member of the anime community...anyone who has internet/and an anime fan HAS to know about the recent fansub problems plaguing the Anime industry....

Before I send off a request to PanelGuru for this, I thought it would be wise to post about it to see if anyone else would be interested in this ^__^

This panel would be focused on the works of Visual Art's/Key productions, including:
- Kanon
- Air TV
- Clannad

Specifically, this panel would include talks, debates, and discussion about the various mediums -- as well as the Kyoto and Toei animation influence on all 3 titles.
